Video PlayerMovienizer was designed to collect and organize information about movies and personalities (such as actors, directors, writers etc.). However, you can also use the program to watch your movies. There are two options for playing movies. You can use either the built-in player (it also allows taking screenshots and adding them to your database immediately) or your system's default video player. You can choose any option in the "Options" menu. Let's consider using the built-in player. On the toolbar, click the following button:
This will start the internal player. If the video file (or the DVD) with the movie is available (and entered into the database) it will start playing. Otherwise, click "File" to select the movie you want to be played:
If you open a DVD Video, the player will show additional controls for easy navigation through chapters and titles. If you open a video file, no DVD controls will be present:
Using the built-in player, you can add snapshots from your movies to the database. By default, the program starts playing the first edition available in the list. You can choose to play another edition (or a certain episode of a TV series) by clicking the arrow near the "Play" button on the toolbar and selecting the edition (episode) from the dropdown list:
