MIDI Converter Studio supports two MIDI conversion modes: conversion with SoundFonts and sound recording. The first mode is much faster than the second one and offers greater flexibility, so it is suggested by default. The second mode can still be useful if you want to preserve the sound produced by your sound card. However, in most cases, converting MIDI with SoundFonts produces better sound than the sound recording method, and it is much faster. For example, a 5 minute MIDI file will take 5 minutes to convert with the sound recording method, and just 5-20 seconds (gets faster with every new generation of processors) with the SoundFonts method. Thus the program has a great advantage over similar tools that offer only the sound recording method.Download now!
I also use the MIDI converter software to create audio CDs for choir members to learn their parts. Some of them don't have computers and e-mail to use MIDI files, so with the converter I can give them a CD to play on standard audio equipment.Earl Hughes
