Read what users think about our software:mp3Tag is great, by the way. I am a bit of an addict when it comes to music. I download a lot of music files from blogs and many of them are poorly tagged and named. mp3Tag makes the process of making them more useful so very easy. I have hundreds of files from a time before I purchased mp3Tag and am now going through those files to fix them. I simply could not do this without mp3Tag. |
Select Audio Filesmp3Tag can edit tags of MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, APE, OGG Vorbis, AAC, WavPack, MPC/MPP/MP+, and M4a/MP4 files. The tags are also referred to as meta information and contain such fields as title, artist, album, year, comment, genre etc. To start editing tags, launch mp3Tag (for example, by double-clicking its icon).
Browse to the folder where your music files are stored. You can invoke the
usual "Browse" dialog by clicking this symbol:
Yet another way of navigating is taken from file managers (like Windows Explorer). You can double-click a folder to enter it, or click the "Parent folder" button to exit the current folder and to move "one level up". If you need to select files in different folders, select the folders and press the "Scan subfolders" button (see the screen shot above). To select multiple files, press the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and click the files that you want to select. The second click will unselect the file. If you want to select all files in the folder (or in the selected folders, if "Scan subfolders" is used), just click "Select all" button. Alternatively, you can press "Ctrl" + "A" on your keyboard. mp3Tag can show or hide folders. This option is available in the menu. The program can also show or hide different types of files. If you don't see your FLAC, AAC, M4a, APE, OGG or other files, check "Show files" submenu in the main menu.
