mp3Tag is great, by the way. I am a bit of an addict when it comes to music. I download a lot of music files from blogs and many of them are poorly tagged and named. mp3Tag makes the process of making them more useful so very easy. I have hundreds of files from a time before I purchased mp3Tag and am now going through those files to fix them. I simply could not do this without mp3Tag.

Import tags from Amazon

mp3Tag has powerful operation tools. As you know it possible to get all basic tag fields automatically. All you need to have is list of files of a particular album, sorted in original order. mp3Tag retrieve tags from Audio CD database FreeDB. Unfortunately this information is not always available. To provide and alternative way we added new mode of automatic retrieval data from Amazon.com servers, which stores huge amount of music descriptions. You need just to select the required files and input Artist and/or Album fields. Usually just of them is sufficient.

To import tag fields you need to do the following:

Select all required files.
Press button "Generate tags".
In new window open tab "Tags from Amazon".
Make sure you have only files from one album checked.
Sort the files in original order.
Enter Artist and/or Album.
Press button "Get albums from Amazon".
Select correct disk, and tag info will be displayed instantly.
In the song list the information about the album will be displayed.
If you wish you can check "Download album cover", which will save cover picture in tags.
If the information is correct, press "Save tracks info".

After filling the tags you can rename files using the information saved.
