Auto Fill Track Number
Imagine that you have a group of MP3, APE, FLAC, WMA or other audio files in the right order, but the track number field is missing from the tag. How can you fill in the field without doing so manually?
If track numbers are used as parts of filenames, you can extract them with mp3Tag. However, there is also an easier solution.
Select the files. Click "Generate tags":

In the new window, find and click this button:
![]()
Enter some number to start from. See results in the preview area. If you want to save the existing tags and overwrite only track number, uncheck the other fields.

Click "Generate tags" in the lower part of the window to save the track numbers.
