Delete MP3 Tags

The MP3 tag editor can be used not only to create new tags, but also to delete existing ID3 tags. Select MP3 files in mp3Tag Pro, right click them, select "Delete mp3Tags" from the context menu. Choose which version has to be removed:

You can also use this method to remove garbage in MP3 tags. The ID3v2 tag by its design is capable of containing virtually unlimited number of fields. Certain applications may use (or rather misuse) this property to store application-specific information. No other program will recognize such information. To remove this garbage, export usable tags to a CSV file, delete tags as described earlier and then import tags from the CSV file. Of course, it is possible to rename MP3 files to save all necessary information in filenames and folder names, then delete tags and generate tags from filenames again.
